by her side
even if I’m old and dry
and when she’d eventually start to die
I promise I’d retire
to spend some quality time
with my slowly decaying wife
but that’s just a chance
of one in a million
and I’d rather die
than try to live that life

in this young boy’s life
he felt like
he would be alright
just hanging with his mind
and no-one else by his side
for a fleeting second
this deceiving lie
was the truth for him
so he went along
just singing his own songs

when you only care about your own songs
and at night before you sleep
there’s nothing in your mind
you can be that way forever

for we think about other lives
and no-ones ready for what they find
